What it’s like working with Taoti

Wondering what it is like to work at Taoti? Let's just say that working hard and playing hard doesn't have to be two separate things.

Picture this: your website redesign is ready to get started. So far, you’ve spent your time playing limbo with RFP drafts, vendor demos, scopes and contracts, and now it’s time for the fun stuff. You have an idea of what to expect; you’ve heard all about the “discovery and design process” and know that someone will “build” the site, but there are a few things that aren’t written into contracts, though maybe we should…

You’ll gain a new best friend.

Monthly in person meetings, weekly check in calls, daily emails—you and your project manager are about to become best friends very quickly. Your PM will know your kids’ names, will ask you about your summer vacation to the Outer Banks and will genuinely care. Your PM is your advocate, and tears may be shed once the site launches and you no longer have to communicate every day. You may find a reason to anyway, and that’s alright with us!

You’ll start talking in digital lingo to impress your friends at the next cocktail party.

Wireframes! Drupal! Content types! Taxonomies! You spout these words and impress your friends that you “do hard things”. You tell them you’re an integral part of creating a website that will be accessible to the entire public for years (which is pretty cool to think about!).

You’ll evaluate websites you visit every day.

Suddenly realize that your bank’s online pay user flow is sub-par? Notice the filter options for the online retail store are minimal and you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for? Find a great blog post but don’t have the ability to share it? These are the (un)fortunate side effects on the warning label of a redesign. Warning: you will never view websites the same.

You’ll look forward to updating the content on your site.

Yep. Updating your website through your content management system is going to be so simple, you’ll be happy when updates are needed. It’s a heck of a lot easier than working on that marketing plan for your boss.

“Out of Office Field Trips” become something to look forward to.

Once you come to the Taoti office, you’re going to want to keep coming back. The beautifully restored row home, the creative energy and vibe, the bustling Barracks row street, and the roof deck (and keg) will make you forget the cubicle life and breathe some new energy into your day. Your office mates will be jealous when you return with a bit of a suntan and a smile.

Sounds great, right? That’s the goal at Taoti—to make sure our clients enjoy their experience with us through collaboration and hard work. Who says hard work can’t be fun?
