What is it?
On Tuesday, February 4th from 6:30 to 9:00, Taoti Creative will host a “Drupal Ladder issue sprint” to help further core Drupal development. For those of you not familiar with the Drupal Ladder, it is an initiative to help those who use Drupal give back and contribute to the development of Drupal core. Any and all drupal developers are welcome and encouraged to come.
When: 6:30-9pm on February 4th, 2014
(Note: we’ll start the ladder at 7. From 6:30-7 can be some social/networking/pizza eating/beer drinking time.)
Where: 1250 Connecticut Ave NW, Suite 610, Washington DC 20036*
*Because our office is in a secure building, and this is after hours, you may not be able to get up to our suite unescorted. But we’ll be making trips down to the lobby to get everyone, so if you don’t see anyone, just hang out for a couple of minutes, and we’ll be there. If you show up late and want in, just call the office: 202.546.8946 and someone will come get you.
What is an “Issue Sprint?”
An issue sprint is where we sit down and work on moving core issues through the issue queue. We will be working on moving actual Drupal 8 issues through the issue queue. (Drupal beginners would be better off waiting for our next learn sprint, as this event is for developers who have at least completed the first few rungs on the Drupal Ladder.
What you should bring.
Please bring a laptop. This is a hands-on event, so you’ll need a laptop to participate. Wifi internet will of course be provided.
What to expect.
The ladder is being hosted by Taoti Creative, a Drupal-focused web develompent shop in Dupont Circle. They’ll provide the pizza/beer/cavorting from 6:30-7, and then we’d like to get the sleeves rolled up and get down to business by 7.Please RSVP on the MeetUp page, here! The event is free and open to all, but we’d really appreciate if you’d RSVP so we know how much pizza and beer to procure. See you on the 4th!
