Overview
The California State Republican Caucus tagged Taoti to completely redesign and redevelop their existing content management system (CMS) and deliver an online image and experience worthy of state representatives. The State Senate needed to centralize the control of dozens of independent senate websites, overhaul existing design, create consistency between its members websites and provide additional tools to connect Senators with constituents and the media.
Solution
- Implementation of Content Management System (CMS) which allowed each senators office to take as much (or as little) control over their own site.
- A scalable, modern data architecture built on the ASP.Net platform, presently maintained and hosted by Taoti
- A flexible, modular code design that allows for ongoing upgrades and add-ons to the existing system
- A multi-user workflow system which allows everyone from an intern to the ‘super admin’ to manage appropriate areas of each website
- Incorporation of interactive elements including on-demand audio & video, photo galleries, and a robust news distribution system
Results
- The integration of new templates to improve the website’s design facilitated the Senate’s political communication and pr efforts
- Website content was also made accessible under ADA guidelines and is “Bobby Compliant” highlighting functionality and usability without sacrificing design.
